Welcome to Amicus Trust.
Who Are We?
Amicus Trust was born out of concern for those at risk of homelessness and poverty, starting as a soup kitchen in 1974 to support vulnerable people in Bedford - today the organisation has grown to provide accommodation and support to ensure individuals have the opportunity to progress towards a life free from homelessness.
We understand that for people to progress permanently from homelessness, support needs to be about more than accommodation, and over the years through research and experience, we have developed additional services in Key Work, Mental Health, Education and Life Skills.
From our base in Bedford, we have grown to provide accommodation and support across Luton and Central Bedfordshire, and various locations in central and the east of England.
Ensuring everyone has a life free from homelessness and a place in their community. To Offer a safe supported place to live, where we can help residents develop everyday life skills and interests with the aim of helping them to move on into a home of their own.
